Even before the ability to read we are registering sensations and impressions from the visual impact of letter forms and styles. I have had a love of lettering, fonts and typeface for as long as I can remember. The art of the Signwriter is a rarefied and exacting skill which continues to flourish even in this digital age of mechanical reproduction. The following images are all examples of ‘Signwork’ of one sort or another but serve only to indicate a particular area of interest rather than as demonstrations of being a ‘skilled practitioner’.
